Welcome

We are a group of researchers with an interest in social simulations and related topics, like social science, philosophy of science, computer science and machine learning. We all share a former affiliation to the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. Most members work in the in the research and educational sector or in the industry. We are publishers, software developers or in the management department.

We write practical simulation programmes and investigate the theoretical background of social simulations. Computer simulations allow us to look at social processes from many different angles and perspectives. We are interested in specific social aspects in the interaction of individual actors, as well as in reflections on complex societies and large social systems.
We investigate all kinds of social systems, from psychology, economics, sociology, political theory to game theory and theory of crises, just to name a few of them. This website gives some information about the group, its members, projects, and publications.
